Emn Haddad-Friedman

In 2024, Emn Haddad-Friendman joined Poly’s English Department. She comes to Poly a graduate of Bard College twice over (both her B.A. and M.A.) with more than 15 years of experience in NYC education. Most recently Emn spent over a decade at Prospect Schools, where she built the high school English department and curriculum, and had a hand in developing the International Baccalaureate (IB) for All program. Emn views her role in the classroom as a facilitator of knowledge, rather than a keeper of “right answers.” In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, and doing circus arts, including flying trapeze and tight wire. When reading, Emn is drawn to sci-fi and fantasy and enjoys teaching books in those genres as well.
